What is an application cycle? (clerk)

Some entities accept applications year-round, but others only accept applications during set windows, like April through June. When you register your entity for MatchBoard, you will specify if your entity accepts applications year-round or during set periods. Applicants may only submit applications to entities with application windows within the windows. 

If a vacancy occurs, you may opt to accept applications outside of the application window. To do this, navigate to the relevant “board details” subtab in the “board” section. There is a toggle button that says “application closed” beneath the “summary of function” box. Toggle this button. It will turn teal and display “application open.” Then hit “save changes.” When you are ready to stop accepting applications, you may toggle the button back to “application closed” and hit “save changes.”
