What happens when a board member's term is going to expire?

90 days before a board member’s term expires, you will receive an email notification alerting you of their upcoming term expiration.

If the board member is eligible for reappointment, they will also receive an email. The email the board member receives contains a link where they can indicate if they would like to be reappointed. If they do not respond to the initial email, they will receive a follow-up email.

To view whether the board member would like to be reappointed, navigate to the "boards" section and then select the "members" tab of the relevant board. The board member’s response will be noted next to their name. They will receive a follow-up email if they do not initially respond.

Please note, only board members who have a valid email listed in MatchBoard will receive the reappointment email. To check whether a board member has an email address on file in MatchBoard, navigate to the “boards” section, select the relevant board, and then go to the “members” tab. The member’s email address will display beneath their name. If you need to add their email address, click “edit” next to their name and then select the pencil icon. Once you have entered their email address, you may hit save and close the window.
